Educational Robotics in Zacatecas

On January 25, 2010 was the initial green light to the "Robot & Pedia" in the State of Zacatecas. The event was attended by over 600 people, including secretaries of state, leaders of Business Chambers, Rectors of Institutions of Higher Education, children and more.
This program starts with the implementation of an extracurricular activity, Educational Robotics, this activity is related to learning from the world of Robots for children from 72 public elementary schools of the state. This program will serve over 5000 children in the State, children who are in fifth and sixth grades.

The purpose of the "Educational Robotics" is to develop in students the analytical skills, critical thinking, creativity, problem solving and teamwork, achieving better performance in their environment and in practical life. This ability to apply knowledge of mathematics and science to everyday life, depends directly on how learning has been built and how they have been used in school.
It is noteworthy that the first program of its kind in Latin America, which Zacatecas is positioned to spearhead the dissemination and training in the use of Information Technology.
